1. The Breakthrough in the Quarantine Zone
One afternoon during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was pushing through a moment of internal resistance while working. A song came on—"Hot Girl Bummer" by blackbear—and the defiance in the lyrics hit me in an unexpected way. I realized I had been feeling like I couldn't meet what I thought were God's expectations.
In that moment of honesty, I had a massive spiritual breakthrough.
I became so "intoxicated" in the Spirit that I lost track of my physical surroundings. I ended up walking straight into the heart of a hospital’s restricted COVID-19 quarantine zone to deliver a pizza.
The nurse was stunned, yelling, "What are you doing here?! You can't be here!" I just laughed and handed her the food. I was so caught up in the glory that the natural boundaries of the world—even a strictly regulated pandemic ward—didn't even seem to exist.
2. Spirit Transporting: The Silent Rescue
I was driving my route, listening to the audio Bible and focused entirely on staying in the "glory realm." I wasn't praying for anyone specifically; I was just trying to keep my peace. Suddenly, a man I barely knew from an online ministry called me, weeping with joy.
He told me that my spirit had just appeared to him, transporting to his location in a moment of total despair. He was on the brink of suicide, and he testified that my presence there saved his life. I began to weep. It was a humbling realization that when we remain in the glory, God can use our spirits to minister to others without our conscious knowledge.
3. The Collapse of Time
Time travel is often thought of as science fiction, but in the presence of God, time is fluid. One difficult shift, I turned on the Word and entered a deep state of peace. What felt like an hour at most turned out to be nearly five hours.
I realized then that "time travel" in the Kingdom is simply the result of stepping out of the chronos of this world and into God's eternal realm. This phenomenon happens frequently now; I will sit in His presence for what feels like moments, only to realize six hours have passed. When you are in perfect peace, time ceases to be a master.
4. The Spiritual Earthquake
I once arrived at work after a morning of intense seeking. I felt a literal quaking in my spirit—an unnatural, heavy trembling that my physical body could barely process. When my friend (who was not a believer at the time) walked in, he immediately darted to the bathroom.
When he emerged, he was sweating and shaken.
He told me his legs were trembling so hard he could barely stand, and he didn't understand why. In that moment, the "waters broke" and the glory burst through. The power of God was so weighty it was physically shaking the people around me. Over a decade later, I’ve watched that friend's heart soften; he now prays to Jesus daily, and I believe he is on the doorstep of being born again.
5. The Transfiguration of Mom
My mother is 72 and has struggled significantly with her health, to the point where she could barely function. One morning, after she left the house, I spent two hours in deep prayer, breaking through into the glory.
When she returned, I was stunned. She looked ten years younger. She was walking with a strength and stride I hadn't seen in years, and her face was literally glowing. It freaked me out—I told her, "You look like a different person!"
She just smiled and said, "God woke me up in a good mood today." I realized that the glory I had accessed in prayer had extended its reach to her physical body.
6. A Friend's Dream: Traveling in the Night
Our spirits are not limited by our waking hours. After praying for a man for weeks, he sent me a message describing a dream he’d had. He said he dreamt that I was setting up candles and prayibg for him in a very specific way which caused him to give me empanadas right after.
Just as our spirits can transport during the day, they can travel to people in the night to bring messages, comfort, or breakthrough. This is another facet of the "manifest presence"—that God uses us as vessels of His light even while we sleep.
